The British are losing their country. In fact, it is more accurate to say that the “woke” Labor Party has betrayed the country. The same country, the same people who stood alone against Hitler's war machine in 1940, are surrendering their country to a horde of new invaders who have brought with them their flags and are flying them across the former homeland of Shakespeare, Winston Churchill, the Duke of Wellington and King Arthur.
Now, however, it appears that the British people have had enough and the Union Jack blooming again across the country.
The battle over British identity and the national flag is just the latest issue that will widen the political divide in the UK in 2025. As the Labor government continues to face growing criticism over a range of issues from its crackdown on free speech to immigration policy, many Britons are worried about the future of their country.
The issue grew over the summer amid concerns about a growing rift between the ruling elite and members of the public focused on the national flag. The debate, which had been going on for several years, took on new life after anti-Israel protests erupted following the massive Hamas terrorist attack on Israel on October 7, 2023, when the UK saw Palestinian flags spread across the country.
It's not just this that the Labor Party should be criticized for; they have essentially surrendered the country to waves of foreign invaders who have no intention of assimilating, becoming British, or even submitting to British law. Labor politicians and, frankly, too many Britons don't acknowledge this out of sheer fear of being called “racist”. But this is not a racial problem; it's a cultural problem, and too many “migrants” to Britain have brought their culture and their flags with them – even if it's the flag of a nation that doesn't exist.
Tensions were further heightened by the display of Palestinian flags on public buildings. Critics argue that this represents a rejection of traditional British values and that immigrant communities are dictating public values. Several councils in major cities have succumbed to public pressure. These cities are all with significant immigrant communities—including Sheffield, PrestonLast month, Bradford and others decided to fly the Palestinian flag in honor of the United Nations International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People.
“There is only one flag that should fly on public buildings in the UK, and I include the home countries of England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, and that is the Union Flag. We need to start unifying national stories and symbols, and the flag is the simplest, most visual and intuitive way to do that,” Colin Brazier, a British culture commentator, told Fox News Digital.
That's why we have flags. That's why we fly them. That's why we stand when they pass by. These are not just strips of colored fabric. They represent our countries, and the flag representing the United Kingdom is the only flag that should fly on any government building at any time. Always.

Recent YouGov Research found mixed views on the Union Flag and the English St George's Flag. 58% of 2024 Labor voters perceive the English flag as a racist symbol, but only 19% of Conservative voters and 8% of Reform voters think the same. The poll found that a majority of ethnic minority adults (55%) believe those who fly St George's flags do so “mainly as a way of expressing anti-migrant and/or anti-ethnic sentiments”, with a majority (41%) saying the same applies to the Union flag.
Labor voters are simply wrong. This is not a racial issue. This is a matter of culture. Britain, a nation state owned by the British people, has the right to its own unique culture. They have the right to protect this culture. But they just didn't do it. The Labor Party has turned it into a platform to invade Britain, trample its culture and remove its flag from public view as “racist”.
There was a time when Great Britain was America, according to the original recipe. That time has passed. The saddest thing is that renewed support for something as basic as flying the UK national flag may be too little, too late. Their government has already been co-opted. It is quite possible that they have already lost, like most of Europe.
The British could also change their country's traditional patriotic cry to “God save the King, because Parliament won't do it!”
