Bonaparte blazes a trail through alternate history
Freedom, equality and steam robots. It is these aspects that will allow players to take a step into one of the greatest revolutions in history. Only this time there will be a lot more robots. Franco-Quebec studio Studio Imugi's debut game, Bonaparte-A Mechanized Revolution, launches on PC today. In fact, today also marks the day that Napoleon Bonaparte put an end to the Bloodless Revolution. Players can now immerse themselves in an alternate history, revolutionary France, full of intense strategy and perfect revolution. The press release contains more detailed information about the game. Additionally, the new launch trailer gives players a glimpse into the world they'll be leading.
Bonaparte: Mechanized Revolution transports players to an alternate history of France as Celine or Cesar Bonaparte. As one of the two, players will build their army, build their own ideals, and interact with a variety of historical figures as they strive to change France. Of course, a successful revolution requires strategy. You won't win with brute force alone. Thus, players will need to improve and implement their political programs in order to win seats in the National Assembly. However, when diplomacy fails, violence takes over. Importantly, players will be able to recruit battalions, officers and, most importantly, massive mechanical colossi to win alternate historical battles.
Most importantly, players will be able to see the revolution in all its glory in the new trailer. Check it out below.
Bonaparte: The Mechanized Revolution is out now. PC via Steam. So what kind of leader will you become? Can you lead armies of automatons towards coup, terror and a new way forward? Or will you strengthen the old regime?
