An unpredictable journey awaits in Blue Prince
Raw rage and developer Dogubomb released Blue Prince on the Mac App Store, bringing the acclaimed puzzle adventure game to a wider audience. The Swedish indie publisher has confirmed that this release sits alongside the existing Mac version available on Steam. This will finally allow more players to explore the changing halls of Mount Holly for the first time.
Blue Prince was originally released in April on PC via Steam and Windows, followed by releases on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Since its debut, the game has become one of the most popular games of the year on Metacritic. It earned widespread critical praise, as well as many excellent and near-perfect ratings. Its strong reception has also led to industry recognition, with wins and nominations from major awards such as the Golden Joystick Awards, The Game Awards and The Indie Games Awards, as well as being longlisted for the BAFTA Games Awards.
Blue Prince combines mystery, strategy and puzzle into a carefully crafted yet unpredictable game. The game is set in Mount Holly, a strange and ever-changing estate whose location changes as players progress. Each chamber has its own mechanics, secrets, and obstacles, encouraging careful planning and thoughtful decision-making every step of the way.
Players must chart their own route through the estate in search of the elusive Room 46. No two attempts unfold the same way, as the room layouts and available paths constantly change the path of travel. This dynamic structure ensures that research remains interesting. While the gradual revelation of hidden truths keeps the mystery in the foreground.
With its arrival on the Mac App Store, Blue Prince opens its doors to a new group of players ready to uncover the secrets hidden beneath Mount Holly.
