Plague StoneA dark medieval fantasy turn-based roguelike RPG that will be released on Steam Early Access on January 20th. Priced at €12.99 or $15.99 USD, it will be released with a limited discount for the first two weeks. Developed by Unfinished Pixel, the game combines tactical free-form movement, unpredictable elemental reactions, and an evolving timeline, where each attempt leaves indelible marks on a world that is slowly falling apart.
In the game, players lead a small group of heroes and a living crystal that binds their destinies. Corruption spreads throughout the country, turning every attempt into a race against a future that grows darker with every mistake. Progress is achieved by accumulating skills, unlocking equipment and carefully adapting to battlefields that are transformed by fire, frost and lightning. One well-timed decision can ensure victory, but one mistake can ruin the entire attempt. Strength alone is never enough. Travel requires focus, patience and the ability to adapt to changing conditions.
The story revolves around protecting the Earth Glass Crystal and transporting it to the Hell Rift. Only by completing this mission will players be able to confront the demon lord Korgul and destroy the Plague Stone. The path is difficult and repeated defeats become part of the experience. Every fall teaches something new, and every return provides an opportunity to restore, improve and move on.
The environment itself plays a central role. Objects, enemies, and changing weather conditions create tactical situations that can either support or undermine the plan. Success comes from reading the field and responding to its dangers and opportunities.
