Call of Duty is perhaps the biggest franchise in this genre. The annual issues continue to attract masses due to their rich content. Filled with campaign, multiplayer and zombie mode, the game has found a winning formula. Following the success of last year's release, Activision skipped the usual biennial rotation and went straight back to the Black Ops sub-series for this year's release. Skirmish mode has quickly become a fan-favorite mode, offering massive multiplayer battles across expansive maps filled with challenges that keep you constantly engaged. Want to see this in action? The opposite of larger battles is also Paranoia. This small map with narrow corridors increases the intensity, creating exciting encounters as you consider every move. See for yourself.
Want something different? Well, Arcade mode brings back that nostalgia with a fun top-down shooter. A complete departure from the frantic first-person shooter experience, but it's a fun, light-hearted way to shoot anything that moves.
