Billie Eilish calls out ‘pathetic’ Elon Musk for not donating vast fortune – National

Following the reports, Eilish, 23, took to her Instagram Stories on November 13 to call Musk, who is already the richest man in the world, a “fucking pathetic coward.”

Ocean eyes The singer shared an infographic originally posted by My voice, my choice suggesting what Musk could do to help address global crises with his vast fortune.

“Elon Musk became the world's first trillionaire, here's what he could do with it,” the first photo read.

The following slides suggested ways Musk could help the world, including “end world hunger” and “decide to spend $40 billion every year to end world hunger by 2030, or provide universal, safe, clean water for $140 billion for the planet over the next seven years.”

The next slide said Musk could “save all 10,443 endangered species” by paying “$1-2 billion annually to bring them all up to endangered status.”

The final slide stated that Musk could pay $53.2 billion to “rebuild the Gaza Strip and the occupied West Bank in accordance with EU requirements.”

“Although the UN predicts that for the Gaza Strip alone this amount could be more than $70 billion. If he wanted to spread the wealth and provide further aid, he could also rebuild Ukraine and Syria at a cost of $793.2 billion,” it said.

In her latest post, Eilish wrote: “etc… fucking pathetic f—– coward.”

As of this writing, Musk has not publicly responded to Eilish's comments.

Eilish's criticism of Musk comes weeks after she suggested billionaires need to give more when she accepted a music award at the WSJ Magazine Innovator Awards this October.

“We're living in a time right now where the world is really, really bad and really dark, and people need empathy and help more than ever, especially in our country,” Eilish told the audience, which included Meta's CEO. Mark Zuckerberg and his wife Priscilla Chan, and Star wars creator George Lucas.

“I would say that if you have money, it would be great to use it for good causes, maybe give it to some people who need it,” she added.

Night host Stephen Colbert introduced Eilish on stage at New York's Museum of Modern Art, announcing that she would donate $11.5 million of proceeds from her Hit Me Hard and Soft tour to causes dedicated to food equality, climate justice and reducing carbon pollution.

Accepting the award Bad guy the singer added a polite but direct plea to others in the room, saying that many people, especially in the US, could use help right now.

“Love you all, but there are several people here who have a lot more money than I do,” she said, and the room erupted in applause. “And if you are a billionaire, then why are you a billionaire? And no hatred, but give away your money, shorties.”
