HBO host Bill Maher spoke out against the sudden silence from college activists during Friday's “Real Time with Bill Maher” as Hamas kills Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.
Maher asked guest Mark Cuban about the disappearance of “keffiyeh-wearing students” now that Hamas is “shooting everyone.” “Where are the protesters?” Maher said. “Suddenly the college students wearing the keffiyeh became very quiet.” Cuban agreed, replying, “Shoot everyone.” Maher repeated the phrase.
The remarks followed months of student demonstrations sweeping American campuses. Protesters chanted anti-Israel slogans and clashed with police. Hundreds were at risk of arrest. Critics argued that their Palestinian support had shifted from anti-war activism to support for Hamas. (RELATED: Hamas carries out deadly attacks on rivals in Gaza City after peace deal)
