MD Productions presented the first teaser of the film “Khan Tumhara“, action movie, starring Bilal Ashraf (“Janaan”, “Superstar”) and Maya Ali (Teefa in Trouble, Mann Mayal, Diyar-e-Dil) which aims to raise production standards in Pakistani cinema through international collaboration.
Directed by Ehteshamuddin (Superstar, Udaari, Sadqai Tumhare) from a script by Mustafa Afridi, the film is produced by Momina Duraid (Parwaaz Hai Junoon, Superstar, Sadqai Tumhare) under MD Productions along with Ashraf and Ehteshamuddin of Behive Transmedia.
The project combines action scenes with romance and drama, focusing on Yusuf Khan's character, who is described as having power, love and revenge.
The production uses several international crew members to film the action scenes, led by Nick Khan (Marvel's Eternals) and Hussein Abdullah (Skyfall). The crew went to Pakistan to film scenes and train local crew members over several months.
Principal photography for the action scenes alone lasted approximately 70 days. Ashraf performed his stunts without stunt doubles and suffered multiple injuries during filming. Ali also underwent extensive training for her role.
“For years, Pakistani cinema has flirted with action films, but we have never really let it bleed,” said Ehteshamuddin. “Khan Tumhara” is our response to these fluctuations. Yusuf Khan is not a hero you root for from a safe distance; he is a man who drags you along with him into the dust, where love is a wound; power is poison; and revenge is the only prayer left. This is our story, told by our sweat; our scars; our stubborn refusal to look away.”
Ashraf added, “It was more than a film; it was a lifelong education in the craft, paid for with blood, sweat and tears. It has become the benchmark by which I will measure every project I ever do from now on. This journey is dedicated to my late mother and sister, and I am forever grateful to everyone who was a part of this project.”
The visual effects were handled by Haider at Softmatrix and the post-production was done to international standards.
Producer Duraid said, “Khan Tumhar has something for everyone. A blend of action, romance and comedy, it offers complete family entertainment for all age groups.”
Ali added, “Some projects truly stay close to your heart. 'Khan Tumhara' is one of them. From planning to pre-production, I have been privileged to witness this journey up close. It has been an honor to work with ace director and actor Ehtesham Bhai and the amazing Bilal Ashraf – a brilliant actor, a wonderful person and now an exceptional producer. I am incredibly proud to be a part of this film and can't wait for everyone to experience the action and emotion of this film. “Khan Tumhara” this Eid al-Adha.”
The film's soundtrack features songs in Urdu, Punjabi and Pashto languages to appeal to diverse audiences across Pakistan.
Khan Tumhara is scheduled to release in May 2026 to coincide with Eid al-Fitr. MD Productions and Behive Transmedia are distributing.
