Infiltrate Rich People in Better Than Us
Little Bat Games, a studio known for its award-winning Vampire therapistpresented Better Than Us, a social hidden story set in a distant future shaped by today's familiar inequalities. The story is set in the year 2200, when the richest people in history have taken refuge in floating cities built to escape the climate disaster they created. Their goal is no longer luxury for its own sake, but the ability to assert moral superiority. As might be expected, their great wealth did not make them any wiser or kinder.
Players take on the role of a skilled thief and master manipulator who works with her intelligent rodent companion. Their task is to infiltrate the luxurious meetings held inside these air fortresses and quietly change the situation with the elite. Progress is achieved through charm and deception rather than through traditional stealth or combat. Every conversation becomes a tool, and every relationship a potential advantage. Players will track the stories they tell, manage shifting alliances, and maintain an expanding web of lies designed to confuse even the most powerful figures.
The game continues Vampire Therapist's strong tradition of storytelling and features outstanding voice acting talent. Sarah Grayson, known for “Hades 2” and “Gone Home,” joins Cyrus Nemati, who also heads creative direction at the studio. Historians from the University of Oxford, the University of California at Davis and the University of Florida contributed insights that helped the team portray the consequences of extreme wealth in a edgy but playful tone.
Nemati notes that the past often provides useful context for current issues, while also offering fewer legal risks for small developers. Better Than Us will be released on PC and Mac in 2026, and is available now for a wishlist on Steam. Vampire Therapist is also discounted during Steam's Choices Matter sale, giving players another chance to explore Little Bat Games' earlier works.
