Bethesda is already playtesting The Elder Scrolls 6

It was a full seven years since Bethesda first teased she worked on the sequel to one of the best-selling and most critically acclaimed role-playing games of all time. Since then we have heard almost nothing about Elder Scrolls 6other than the fact that it exists and that we will probably have to wait a long time until someone can play it. In a recent interview with British GQ, Bethesda game director and executive producer Todd Howard, he is constantly worried about the continuationwas careful to meet fans' expectations regarding Elder Scrolls 6. It won't fall anytime soon anyway. But he did throw fans a few bones that help them understand how things are going in the fantasy series.

Howard said thatand hundreds of people are still working on the quasi-MMO Fallout 76, Elder Scrolls 6 it is an “everyday thing” from a developmental perspective. First revealed in 2018, fans didn't see much of it. Elder Scrolls 6 beyond one clip shared a million times. (screenshot above taken from The Elder Scrolls Online.) But it sounds like return to Tamriel – This is now the main task of Bethesda. Apparently, the process has progressed far enough that Bethesda recently conducted a “large playtest.” According to Howard, the team took the opportunity to study what was in the game, what it still needed, and where it was in the development process.

“Great games are played, not made,” says Howard. “The screen doesn't lie.”

Generally speaking, big-budget games are taking longer and longer to make as studios scale up and refine games designed to appeal to mass audiences. If you ask Howard, waiting is probably a good thing when it comes to… Elder Scrolls 6.

“I think it's good for the audience to take a break,” Howard said of The Elder Scrolls as a series. While he acknowledges that fans have been waiting for a long time, he also notes that Bethesda is hoping to create something more than a “plus one” sequel. An extended period between games could also benefit Bethesda. At least Howard points out that Star field gave the RPG creator a much-needed “creative reset.”

Most of the interview is dedicated to the Fallout series – which coincides with recently released Fallout 4 Anniversary Edition. But even when he discusses the post-apocalyptic series, fans can understand what's going on. behind the scenes when it comes to Elder Scrolls 6 and also – so it's worth reading in full.
