It fits perfectly into its environment – small, mostly static (or at least slow) games that don't require flashy visuals or complex controls and that will reward as much time as you can dedicate to them.
It's not surprising to find that The App Store is full of puzzlesthen. But find the best Puzzle games on iOS are no easy task.
They come in all shapes and sizes, from old-fashioned match-3 games to crazy experimental flights of fancy. And the ground between these two extremes is vast. Imagine: today you can even find role-playing puzzle games (which no one had heard of a few years ago)!

Although this genre is the most subscribed to, we never get bored thanks to the sense of variety and adventure. There is always something new to see. This variety also means that we left a lot of great puzzles off our list. Part of this is to keep this list current, but there's also a lot of stuff in there.
We're sure you have a few favorites that we haven't listed, but that's partly because of what we mentioned above. There are so many of them!
Instead, we tried to focus on a select few puzzles that we really liked and stood out in some way – be it unique graphics, never-before-seen mechanics, or particularly challenging puzzles. This is something we've tried to highlight, so while you may see some premium games (like Gorogoa), you'll also find free games that can be a lot of fun (like Pink)!
