This fall will bring a new season full of anime, like the return of the highly anticipated My Hero Academia for its final season. Digimon Beatbreak (Crunchyroll, Hulu, Disney+)
Digimon, Digital Monsters, returns with a new anime this fall. Digimon Beatbreak is about Tenma, a young boy who has an unusual connection with technology. It is through this anomaly that he meets the Digimon known as Gekkomon. Toei Animation is, of course, producing the series as before, so fans can expect more fun from Digimon. Tojima Wants to Become a Kamen Rider (Crunchyroll)
Another new series this season showcases Kamen Rider, but not in the way you think. Tojima Wants to Become a Kamen Rider is about a 40-year-old man who has been a lifelong Kamen Rider fan and dreams of becoming a superhero himself. Of course, this is an unrealistic goal, but a turn of events pushed him to achieve his dream. LIDENFILMS, the studio behind Tokyo Avengers and Call of Night, is producing the series, so expect action-packed action in this wild adventure to find your purpose. Speaking of LIDENFILMS, this season the studio is releasing another hilarious series called Can I Ask One More Thing? The series follows Scarlet, a princess forced into an arranged marriage with a despicable and arrogant prince. When an awkward turn pushes her to the breaking point, Scarlet puts on her fighting gloves and punches a bunch of despicable fools! The premiere is exciting, and it will be interesting to see how Scarlet deals with the consequences of her actions and the political situation as the season progresses. Star Wars Visions Volume 3 (Disney+ | October 29)
The galaxy far, far away returns in anime form with Star Wars: Visions Volume 3! This anthology series further demonstrates an eclectic group of anime studios creating unique short films set in the world of Star Wars. Some studios even produce sequels to their short films from previous seasons. From David Productions, known for JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, to Wit Studio and Trigger, there are many famous studios that may be familiar to anime fans. If you're looking for quick quality anime hits or just a Star Wars fan with an interest in anime, this series is worth a watch. The third volume of Star Wars: Visions will premiere on October 29. on Disney+.
Disney Twisted Wonderland: The Animation (Disney+ | October 29)
This season there will be another series from the world of Disney. Disney Twisted Wonderland: The Animation follows Yuu, a high school student who is mysteriously transported to a magical world and ends up in a school of wizardry that closely resembles the domain of the Queen of Hearts from Alice in Wonderland. In fact, the anime is based on the game of the same name, with the concept and character designs being worked on by Black Butler creator Yana Toboso. If you're interested in Black Butler drama with a Disney villain twist, this might be the series for you. Disney's Twisted Wonderland: The Animated Series premieres October 29 on Disney+.
Twilight Beyond the End of the World (HIDIVE)
Another new series this fall is Twilight Beyond the End of the World. The series follows Akira, a young man who finds himself at the center of growing tensions surrounding the development of artificial intelligence and his loved one. After what seems to be the end of his life, he wakes up hundreds of years later and ends up running into a familiar face. The series will be produced by PA Works, the studio behind Shirobako and Akiba Maid War. Putting aside the intriguing future story, the action sequences are quite impressive compared to what we've seen so far. If you have some time outside of the many shonen anime returning this fall, this series might be worth checking out as well. Dusk Beyond the End of the World is available now on HIDIVE.
Sanda (Amazon Prime)
Just in time for the holidays, this series about a descendant of Santa Claus could be one of the weirdest of the fall season. Sanda follows a boy with the same name as he realizes a sudden attack by a classmate and a mysterious transformation that makes him look like Santa Claus. That's right! This little child has turned into a real Santa! Science Saru is producing the series and from what we've seen so far, it looks amazing. From its familiar use of color to its absurd character moments, Science Saru once again showcases its expertise in a fun and wacky series. If you're a fan of Dan Da Dan and Scott Pilgrim Takes Off, this series is just for you. Sanda is already available on Amazon Prime.
SPY x FAMILY Season 3 (Crunchyroll, Hulu, Disney+)
The adorable Forgers family returns this fall for season three as the secret balancing act between Loyd, Yor, and Anya continues, but this time we seem to be learning more about the supporting characters as this imaginary family has a good foundation. Wit Studio and CloverWorks are returning to produce animation again, so expect hilarious and visually stunning scenes like the fighting excavators from the season premiere. The third season of Spy x Family is now available on Crunchyroll, HuluAnd Disney+.
One Punch Man Season 3 (Hulu, Disney+)
Another long-awaited return this fall. One Punch Man! It's been six years since we last saw the powerful Saitama and the insidious Monster Association in season two. JC Staff, the studio behind Bakuman and Food Wars!, returned after the previous season to continue animation production for the third season. After all these years, expectations are high, so it will be interesting to see where the series goes from previous seasons since the Monster Association and Garou still haven't finalized their plans. The third season of One Punch Man is now available this is Hulu and Disney+.
My Hero Academia FINAL SEASON (Crunchyroll, Hulu, Disney+)
Last but not least, the superhero anime epic is coming to an end. The final season of My Hero Academia. When we last left Deku and the gang, the main battle between heroes and villains had died down a bit, with a few prominent players still fighting it out. It's been almost exactly a year since last season, and now fans will finally be able to see it. a longtime favorite is coming to an end. Bones Film is producing the final season, so we expect to see some stunning visuals and character moments to kick off this acclaimed series. The final season of My Hero Academia is now available on Crunchyroll, Huluand Disney+.
