Best Laptop, Gaming & ThinkPad Discounts + MEGADEAL Code

Lenovo has a Black Friday sale, just be sure to double-check for the promo code “MEGADEAL” in your cart before checking out, although when I did it myself, the code was automatically applied.

TL;DR: Lenovo's best Black Friday deals

IT professionals mainly focus on laptops for all use cases, from gaming to the efficient ThinkPads you probably used to use for office work, as well as 2-in-1 devices that are great for digital imaging and more. Multiple monitors are also offered, again for everyday tasks and gaming. Let's get straight to the point:

Gaming Laptop Deals

This is where the real deals are for me, but if you're not looking for a gaming laptop, the rest of this article is for you. Looking for a budget gaming experience? Opt for the LOQ Essential 15i, which has an RTX 5050, 16GB DDR5 RAM and a 1TV SSD. The processor isn't anything special, but this laptop is more than capable of running games at decent settings at 1080p. With DLSS4 available on the 5000 series cards, you'll be able to generate missing frames and downsample the game's resolution to an artificial boost to really push this £679 gaming laptop beyond its capabilities.

If you want something more upscale and with more power under the bonnet, the price rises significantly to £1,199. Of course the jumping performance at just over £500 is worth it, we're moving into mid-range territory here. The processor is a bit more powerful, the RAM and SSD are the same, but we get the RTX 5070 with that and a better screen with a 165Hz refresh rate and 1200p resolution. Expect high settings of 120 FPS+ in most games with this setting. Also note that this laptop was priced at £1,549, a nice £300 Black Friday discount.

2-in-1 laptop deals

If you want a tech that does a little bit of everything, any three of these 2-in-1 laptops are great for those who want Windows-based drawing tablets that can double as a traditional laptop. Personally, I'd go with the Yoga 7i 14 with integrated Intel Arc graphics. It will never beat a dedicated GPU, but programs like Photoshop, Z Brush, and other digital art applications need a reliable GPU and plenty of memory. There's also 32GB of LPDDR5X RAM, giving you tons of temporary storage for multitasking. It's also discounted to £350, so it's a bargain for the buyer who wants anything, even some light indie games.

ThinkPad and IdeaPad offerings

While the price may be a different story, neither of these laptops are suitable for any heavy gaming purposes other than pixel art and indie games. If that's you, but you want a laptop that's practical, thin, sleek, and stylish, go for it.

ThinkPads and IdeaPads are workhorses by nature, designed for everything from web surfing to heavy office work. It's always good to have a fast laptop, but some of these laptops may be overkill for these use cases.

That's not to say that these laptops are bad in any sense and are great for intensive multitasking, but if you want to edit video or do anything that relies on heavy graphics card use, integrated graphics built into the processor or motherboard aren't king.

Offers for monitors and accessories

The 27-inch 2K gaming monitor for £159 is a great Black Friday deal and is ideal for gamers on a budget who want to achieve 1440p resolution on a 1080p gaming laptop. Add a 240Hz refresh rate and 0.5 MPRT (response time) and you've got a solid gaming monitor that does what it says on the tin. It also has an excellent 99% sRGP and 90% DCI-P3 color gamut for those concerned about color accuracy, but unfortunately there's no HDR support and it's not OLED. IF you find another monitor with the same specs other than the ones I've mentioned, please let me know because you won't on Black Friday.

ThinkVision monitors are great for everyday use, as well as most work purposes, such as the £90 T22i-30. It just depends on what you want to get out of the screen.
