Bell working on botched Crave update for Fire TV

Many users online have written about how Crave has been stuttering on a wide range of Amazon hardware since its last update a few weeks ago.

Bell told MobileSyrup “shWe are aware of an issue affecting some Fire TV devices and our team is actively investigating and working on a resolution. Crave continues to run fine on all other supported devices. We will share an update as soon as we have more information.” We will be sure to update this story when a resolution is reached.

However, if you have an Amazon Fire TV or Fire TV Stick, there's a high chance that the latest Crave update released about a month ago has caused your content to constantly freeze and stutter.

In the meantime, you can cancel your Crave subscription and resubscribe through Amazon Prime. In the Prime Video app, you can join various third-party streaming services, like older TV channels. The upside to this is that you can watch Crave content through the Amazon app, which is live at the time of writing. That being said, this doesn't excuse Crave for breaking the app on Fire TV and spending so much time fixing it.

We also asked Bell if any compensation will be provided to affected users and will update the story when we hear back.

Aside from the Fire TV app, which appears to be the most widespread and extensive of them all, there have been a ton of complaints over the past two weeks, including from people using Xboxes, Samsung phones, Chromecasts, LG TVs, and more.

It is also worth noting that the company began informing PS4 users when they open the app, it is no longer served.
