Bell and Loblaws bring no name mobile to Maxi stores

PC Mobile Spin-off, focused on prepayment “without mobile name” began appearing on the shelves of Maxi stores in Quebec.

There are almost 200 Maxi stores across the province, but they are opening in just a few locations this week. The remaining locations will gain access over the next few weeks. Either way, this should help Quebecers look for inexpensive plans in stores. These plans and SIM cards are initially launched at No Frills in 2024but since Loblaws' Maxi is more popular in Quebec, that makes it more suitable for these plans.

Unnamed SIM cards cost $5, and all plans include unlimited calling throughout Canada and the U.S., international texting, call display, voicemail, call waiting, and three-way calling. They start at 1GB of 4G data in Quebec for $19. If you sign up for automatic data refill (monthly renewal), you will receive additional data.

All plans are listed below;

  • $19 – 1 GB (1 GB bonus on auto-pay)
  • $24 – 4 GB (1 GB bonus with automatic payment)
  • 29–25 GB (5 GB bonus with automatic payment)
  • 34–55 GB (5 GB bonus with automatic payment)
  • 40–80 GB (5 GB bonus with automatic payment)
  • 50–105 GB (5 GB bonus for automatic payment)

If you sign up for one of these plans, you can manage it in the Mobile Desktop app, and they work on the Bell network. You can also instantly activate your plan online using your eSIM.
