Gansu Zhaofeng Agricultural Development Co. Ltd., located in Hui County Industrial Concentration Zone, Longnan City, Gansu Province, has recalled 500-gram bags of G&L FOOD dried bean curd due to the absence of a wheat allergen statement.
According to the company's recall notice, people who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to wheat are at risk of severe or life-threatening allergic reactions if they consume these products.
The recall was initiated following information from FDA inspection that the product label did not indicate that wheat, an ingredient in soy sauce, is an allergen.
G&L FOOD 500g/bag dry cottage cheese is sold primarily to restaurants and retail stores in the Northern California Bay Area.
The recalled 500-gram packages are labeled with UPC number 6976325560236 and expiration dates of 10/25/2025, 06/11/2026 and 06/20/2026. The coding location is on the back of the bag.
To date, no illnesses or adverse reactions associated with this problem have been reported.
