Battlefield 6’s launch day patch notes are here and nearly 2800 words, so whip out your reading specs private

Battlefield 6The launch day patch was promised to be big, and EA didn't lie. The full notes have just arrived ahead of the shooter's premiere, which will take place tomorrow, October 10th. They are over 2,700 words long. This is about twice as long as my last article, but it focuses exclusively on things like recoil and kill time.

If you played the beta, is there anything left that you'll really know when you play the full version? Honestly, I have no idea that they could have hidden a line here about replacing every character model with Mr. Bean, and I'd probably have a hard time tracking it down.

The update, dubbed Patch 1.0.1.0, and EA say it aims to “fix bugs, improve balance, and improve clarity throughout gameplay.” I shudder to think how huge his file size could be.

The studio calls many things as “big updates.” announced earlier this weekwhen they also said they heard people screaming for the ocean. Namely the following:

  • The movement is improved with reduced momentum from sliding to jumping, reduced jump height, and increased inaccuracy when shooting in the air or sliding.
  • Weapon controls have been rebalanced through general tuning and recoil adjustments to provide more consistent shooting.
  • Reworked the Rush and Breakout layouts to provide better balance between attackers and defenders.
  • The maps have improved with improved movement, lighting tweaks, and overall performance improvements.
  • The UI and HUD have received a number of improvements for clearer tooltips, smoother navigation, and more accurate display.
  • Settings and controls have been expanded with improvements in many areas.
  • Audio has been completely redesigned throughout the game, with clearer sounds, improved weapon and vehicle sounds, and fixes for missing or delayed effects.
  • The network code is optimized to reduce lag, crashes, and unseen damage.

Read all this? Okay, by my count, you only have 2,667 words left. If you haven't yet equipped the tactical version of your traditional Sunday paper monocle and comfy slippers, I suggest you do so now, video game lieutenant.

When you're ready, you can find them in the post below.

Yes, your eyes are almost certainly hanging on for dear life right now, so we remind you that you can find out the exact time of Battlefield 6's full launch on October 10th. Here. It's worth checking out Review by Edwin Also, in the first paragraph alone, I saluted and pressed F to pay tribute to his writing skills. Yes, I know that last one is a Call of Duty joke, but let me say it.
