Battlefield 6 Players Are Making Larger Maps Because The Game Doesn’t Have Them Yet

Battlefield 6 was generally well received by players, but that doesn't mean it can't be improved. Battlefield 6 fans in particular have been asking for larger maps in Conquest, and they haven't waited for Battlefield Studios to deliver. Instead, a handful of fans created their own large maps using Battlefield Portal and REDSEC.

Reddit users andy_6170 and kurtinthegrind have joined forces to create Club House, a Conquest gaming area with plenty of space for large-scale battles. There are options for bots or botless versions of Club House, as well as servers that can support 64 real players. The Conquest and Tech Center options open up a larger portion of the map, while the Operations Tech Center offers a smaller scale in and around a single building. According to the creators, Conquest mode features “vehicles, semi-urban areas ideal for infantry combat, and hills ideal for snipers. It's also a great map for helicopter combat!”

Separately, Battlefield lead producer David Sirland wrote: X that the game “surely needs more big sandbox types!” Sirland noted that maps and weapons will be added continuously over time. He also noted that the development team will be “looking at ways to fix issues in existing maps and, of course, make changes where necessary to make them better.”

Earlier this week, Battlefield Studios made changes to Battlefield 6 to make some achievements are easier to complete. Sirland also explained why do we need bots to fill up the servers so matches start faster.

Currently, sales of Battlefield 6 have exceeded 10 million copies. However, its momentum may suffer when Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 releases on November 14 for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and PC.
