Battlefield 6The Russian movement arose as That Hot Button Issue Defining Game Balance: EA's decision to weaken some mechanics has divided players into two camps: those who feel movement has been overly nerfed and those who believe the increased risk/reward makes the FPS more worthwhile.
To put it simply, as one Jean Martin put it on Twitter, Battlefield 6's player base was divided into two opposing viewpoints: the “zoomers” who were happy with how movement worked in the beta, and the “Battledads” who prefer movement after being nerfed in the full version. “Can we find a middle ground to please the whole community?” Martin asked lead game designer Florian Le Bihan.
“We are looking at adjustments to make sure we find a suitable intermediate link. We already have some changes in the pipeline on our end and we are monitoring feedback to learn more,” Le Bihan responded.
We're definitely looking at adjustments to find a suitable middle ground, we already have some changes we're preparing and are monitoring feedback to learn more 🙂October 12, 2025
In a separate response to another player who asked Battlefield Studios to return to the Battlefield 6 open beta, Le Bihan added some clarity to the developer's current thinking on the matter.
“We're not going back to the open beta movement, but we're working on some small changes that will help with some parts that feel a little clunky,” he said. “We’ll share more about this as soon as we can!”

From what little information we have so far, it seems to me that EA is considering potential concessions to players who feel the move nerfs have gone too far, as Le Bihan specifically mentioned that some of the new mechanics feel too “clunky.” However, we won't know what exactly will be changed until the patch notes become available, and EA hasn't given any timeline on when to expect them.
One thing is certain: The ladder exploit that players use to fly around the map “will be” fixed, EA says.
