Trump dubbed Advent “TikTok Jack” as part of the election campaign.
Tik Tok remains available for download in the US as details about ownership and licensing changes for the app become available.
Trump signed executive order “saving TikTok from ban while protecting America's national security,” September 25. The proposed framework agreement provides for the transfer of a majority stake in the application to US investors. ByteDance, the Chinese company behind TikTok, will own less than 20% of the company.
Trump returned to TikTok with a video announcement on Monday.

“To all the young people at TikTok, I saved TikTok, so you owe me a big debt,” Trump said. “And now you’re looking at me in the Oval Office.”
It's literally true, yes.
“President Trump has made good on his promise to save TikTok and the millions of Americans who do business and get unfiltered news through the app,” Advent told the Daily Mail in response to the deal.

As for Barron Trump's role on TikTok's board of directors, we can only speculate.

Advent says it hopes Barron Trump will help keep young Americans on TikTok. The app doesn't seem to hinder engagement. The short video proved so mesmerizing that most other social media apps – Facebook, Instagram, X – included it on their platforms.
Perhaps TikTok, recommended by the likes of Barron Trump, will soften the situation. censorship. If only because it is difficult to tolerate when someone replaces “murder” or “murder” with “non-living”.
