Robert Lewandowski was one of Barcelona's star players as they secured a 2-0 win over Espanyol early in 2026.
The Polish international scored the decisive goal late in the game to double Barca's lead, effectively leaving Espanyol hoping for a late comeback after Dani Olmo initially scored late.

The goal brings Lewandowski's tally for the season to nine and moves the striker ever closer to becoming Barcelona's top ten scorers of all time. This list includes legends such as Lionel Messi, Rivaldo and Luis Suarez.
There are only ten goals left to reach the top 10.
Indeed, Lewandowski's tally as a Barcelona player has reached 110 goals, meaning the striker has now equaled Estanislao Basora's tally as the club's all-time top scorer.
This means Lewandowski is currently 12th on Barcelona's all-time scoring list and is just ten goals away from breaking into the top 10 and equaling Josep Escola (120 goals).

In doing so, the Pole will also overtake Barcelona legend Hristo Stoichkov, who scored 117 goals for the club.

In fact, Lewandowski could well become Barcelona's fifth-highest goalscorer of all time if he has a stellar second half of the season.
That's because the Pole, if he scores 120 goals for the season, will be just two goals away from leveling with Patrick Kluivert and Carles Rexak in eighth and ninth place.
From now on, with 110 goals scored, he needs 20 more to beat Mariano Martin (7th with 129 goals) and level with Samuel Eto'o and Rivaldo (5th and 6th with 130 goals). From this point on the task becomes more difficult: fifth place

Scoring 20 goals in the second half of the season is no easy task, especially at 37 years old.
But if Lewandowski can regain his form and become the undisputed number nine again, he has a solid chance of at least getting close to that, especially if Barca can reach the final of every competition.
