Victoria – Minister of Energy of British Colombia Adrian Dix rejected the latest proposals of Alberta Prime Minister about the construction of the oil pipeline on the West Coast, saying that “the definition of a Canadian does not mean consent with everything that Daniel Smith says.”
Smith, who is in Ottawa today, says that the recent refusal of the Prime Minister of the British Colombia David Ebi at her proposal last week is “Necanadan” and “non-constitutional”.
She made her comments after Ebi called the proposed pipeline “fictional” in a video published on Monday.
Dix says that the British Colombia will continue to “support real projects” with real supporters and real money, calling the pipeline the “political proposal” proposed by Smith.
The minister says that Canadians should be united to work on real projects that create workplaces and income of families, and not discuss projects in which there are no business plans.
The leader of the conservatives of British Colombia, John Rustad, says that he agrees with Smith, and says that Ebi needs to “call for the blocking of Canadian prosperity.”
Rustad says that the inhabitants of British Colombia should think about themselves “not as the inhabitants of British Colombia,” but as Canar, who should help those who have not entered the sea Albert and Saskachevan bring their products to the market.
He says that the proposed pipeline can help update the confederation by suppressing the separatist movement of Alberta, who “has real claims”.
Rustad admits that such a pipeline will require support from the indigenous peoples to which it will strive for, and the federal government for lifting a tanker bank off the northern coast of British Colombia.
He says that he will reveal his plan to bypass the ban on tankers later, if Ottawa refuses to cancel it, adding that he is “extremely optimistic” regarding the construction of the pipeline in the future.
