Another longtime MCU star let it slip that he might be heading off to war in the not-too-distant future, even before we knew he'd be enlisting. After Letitia Wright recently showed that she will return in Avengers: Secret Wars after Avengers: Judgment Day, now Paul Bettany has hinted that he may reprise his role as Vision in the upcoming superhero sequel.
During an interview with TelegraphBettany discussed his upcoming to-do list, which included working on superhero films alongside Earth's Mightiest Heroes. “I think I'll have Avengers duties next year,” he hinted, perhaps referring to the 2027 film, which will see our heroes dealing with the aftermath left by the arrival of Doctor Doom (Robert Downey Jr.).
Speaking about the other projects in his pile, Bettany noted that they aren't as hectic as you might think. “I think journalists imagine that we have a mountain of scripts, but that’s not true. I’m not giving up. [director] Alfonso Cuaron is going to star in Marvel films – Alfonso Cuaron just didn’t call.”
There is every chance that these events could lead to the Secret Wars, but we will have to wait and see to find out. If you need to check out all the other MCU projects we have in the pipeline, take a look at our guide here.
