On Saturday night, during California's matchup with the Pittsburgh Penguins, a short text suddenly appeared on the giant screen supporting the work of police officers tasked with hunting down illegal immigrants.

“SJ SHARKS FANS LOVE ICE! LAY THEM GUYS!” the crowd was reading when screams rang out from the amphitheater.

Footage from the scene quickly began to spread on social networks.

Later that evening, the Sharks organization apologized on their X account for broadcasting an “offensive message.” The latter would have been sent from outside and would have been “unintentionally displayed”.

The Sharks say they are doing everything possible to trace the origin of the message and assure that it in no way reflects the values of the team.
