Artists Equity Taps Amy Baer as President of Film and Television

Artists' promotionsstudio founded Ben Affleck And Matt Damonhas hired veteran producer and executive Amy Baer as president of film and television.

Since its launch in 2022, Artists Equity has released the films Air, Instigators.,and “Accountant 2”,“, many of which star Affleck or Damon. The company's upcoming releases include “Breaking Up,” an action thriller starring Damon, Affleck, Teyana Taylor and Scott Adkins and directed by Joe Carnahan, and “Animals,” a thriller directed by Affleck, who stars alongside Gillian Anderson, Steven Yeun and Kerry Washington.

For more than 13 years, Baer served as president of Gidden Media, which she founded in 2012, producing “The Apprentice,” “Last Vegas” and “Mary Shelley.” From 2020 to 2023, Baer also served as president of Landline Pictures, overseeing the development and production of films including Jerry and Marge Go Big and the upcoming comedy The Best is Yet to Come, which reunites the Ferris Bueller's Day Off team of Matthew Broderick and Alan Ruck.

Before starting her own company, Baer launched CBS Films and served as its president and CEO for four years. She previously spent 17 years at Sony Pictures, overseeing the films Moneyball, The Pursuit of Happyness, Something's Gotta Give and Adaptation. Baer is a member of AMPAS, PGA, Producers United, Film Independent and SAG, and recently completed a six-year term as President of the Board of Directors of Women in Film.

Baer will report to Affleck, co-founder and CEO of Artists Equity, and COO Dillon West.
