ARK:Lost Colony Is Coming Out This Week Along With a New Celestial Dragon

Train your dragon in ARK: Lost Colony

Studio Wildcard introduced Aureliax, a powerful new creature arriving in ARK: Lost Colony on December 18th. The studio revealed the creature at the latest Community Crunch ARK event, describing Aureliax as a celestial serpentine dragon that uses telekinetic abilities and forces survivors to prove their worth before it allows them to tame it. Aureliax is among several major new creatures players will encounter when the expansion releases next Thursday on Steam, Epic Game Store, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

ARK: Lost Colony is the first major canonical expansion for the game. ARK: Ascension of Survival. It directly ties Extinction's story into the upcoming ARK 2. The expansion takes the narrative forward, focusing on lore and character-driven storytelling. An iconic cast brings the story to life as Academy Award winner Michelle Yeoh returns as Mei Ying from ARK: The Animated Series. She appears alongside Madeleine Madden as Helena Walker, Auli'i Cravalho as Mika, Katee Sackhoff as Diana Altaras, David Tennant as Edmund Rockwell, and Keith David as the new antagonist known as the Lost King.

Lost Colony sends survivors to a huge occupied city where they are constantly hunted by enemies. Players will have to adapt quickly as the world changes the balance of power and removes any sense of security. The expansion introduces new character abilities, specialized equipment, and expanded building systems. As well as a selection of exotic creatures that change the approach to exploration and survival.

ARK: Lost Colony takes place in the dangerous city of Arat Prime, which connects the past and future of the franchise. Players will be able to experience this next chapter when the expansion releases worldwide on December 18th.
