Most Arcade1Up releases these days cost $500-$600. Luxury wardrobesbut the home arcade market leader recently returned to its roots with the release of Classic Special Edition Series. Each Classic SE retails for $334 and comes with 13 games pre-installed. There are currently three models to choose from: Pacman, Miss Pac-ManAnd Mortal Kombat II. All three have online leaderboards, and Mortal Kombat has online multiplayer. The arcade sticks, buttons, dual speakers, and overall build quality are on par with the more expensive Arcade1Up options. When we first unveiled the line-up in September, Walmart was the only retailer selling these cabinets, but they are now available at Amazontoo much.
There are several reasons why they are cheaper than the average Arcade1Up machines. The Deluxe cabinets are just over 5 feet tall, the ideal standing height for adults, while the Special Editions are just under 4 feet tall. Good news: you can get a universal Arcade1Up Riser for $59 which increases the height to 5 feet. If you don't get a Riser, you'll most likely need adjustable bar stool– unless the cabinet is intended for children, in which case the original height will probably work better. These machines have 15.6-inch displays and regular marquees, while the Deluxe Editions include larger 17-inch screens and light-up marquees. Instead of a faux coin door, there is a front panel with game logos.
