Apple has released a new commercial for the International Day of Persons with Disabilities to promote accessibility in its device catalog.
Directed by Kim Gehrig (Apple short film “The Greatest”), the new video features college students with disabilities from around the world who use Apple products such as iPhones, iPads and Macs in their education. At the same time, they sing about how they are no more “wonderful” than anyone else. This is a useful video showing that people with disabilities should not stand out from others; we're all more alike than you think.
In addition to this important message, the ad attracts attention Some important Apple accessibility features. For example, a visually impaired student named Cassidy uses Apple's recently updated Magnifier app to get a close-up view of a chalkboard on her MacBook using either a connected iPhone (using the Continuity Camera feature) or connected USB cameras.
