Apple device recycling company SellYourMac expands into Canada

A new way to quickly recycle old Apple products is being launched in Canada.

SellYourMac.com (SYM), a service dedicated to reusing, repurposing and recycling used Apple products, announced the launch of SellYourMac for the Canadian market.

Founded in 2006 and part of the Other World Computing (OWC) family, SYM Canada buys and sells used Apple computers, iPhones, iPads and other Apple accessories. The company said in a press release that its mission is to help reduce the amount of e-waste sent to landfills and landfills, and to help individuals and organizations, such as schools and businesses, transition to new technologies by offsetting the high cost of new technologies through the sale of older devices.

SYM claims that because they limit themselves to Apple products, their pricing is “more accurate” than competitors, allowing the company to charge more for its devices.

SYM is part of a growing trend of electronics recycling companies in Canada. Back in September EcoATM expanded its activities to the Canadian marketopening 13 kiosks throughout the GTHA. Electronics Recycling AssociationCanadian non-profit organization also started Quebec City Survey donate old electronics to one of the drop-off points to refurbish the devices and donate them to schools.
