- The Aoostar AG03 eGPU provides PCIe 4.0 x4 support for external high-performance graphics cards.
- The docking station is equipped with two Thunderbolt 5 ports and OCuLink connectivity.
- The supplied power reaches 140 W, which allows you to charge laptops while working.
Aoostar has officially unveiled the AG03 eGPU docking station, generating interest with its combination of additional features and some notable omissions.
The docking station is a complete solution for external GPU users, but it does not provide full desktop replacement functionality.
Third-party listings show the AG03 supports dual Thunderbolt 5 ports and OCuLink, offering greater connectivity than previous OCuLink-only models.
No M.2 or LAN connections
Aoostar AG03 supports PCIe 4.0 x4 connection for external GPUs, ensuring compatibility with high-end graphics cards.
It also supports power delivery to connected laptops, with the dock providing up to 140W of power output, although some listings mention an additional 27W of power.
Despite these capabilities, the dock's GPU power rating is limited to 500W, which is lower than the 600W available on earlier AGOX models.
This limitation is noticeable since the device has an internal 800W power supply, which could support more demanding graphics cards.
The inclusion of new interfaces addresses some of the connectivity limitations seen in older docking stations.
However, while the AG03 adds more host-side capabilities via USB4 v2 and two Thunderbolt 5 ports, it still lacks features typically expected from a full-featured eGPU dock.
Notably, the AG03 lacks an M.2 slot, which limits internal storage expansion options for users with large capacity drives.
It also doesn't have an Ethernet port, so users who require a wired network connection will have to rely on additional hardware.
Users who need these features will need a separate docking station, meaning the AG03 doesn't function as a true universal hub.
The Aoostar AG03 eGPU docking station costs approximately 1,499 yuan, or about $214, which puts it closer to the existing AGO2 system.
