When I wrote on Saturday that the foreign policy establishment was in utter disarray, I'm not sure I expected such utter shamelessness from them. Yet here we are, with former Secretary of State Antony Blinken crediting Joseph Robinette Biden for the recent Gaza peace deal.
No, I'm not kidding, and that's not even the worst part.

Clearly, this was a major victory for the Trump administration, which rejected the conventional wisdom of foreign policy “experts” and forged its own path. However, according to Blinken, they were simply following Biden plan.

To compare the terrible ceasefire brokered by Blinken and Biden to this agreement would be disingenuous. This ceasefire was never viable because it left hostages in the hands of Hamas. And he did not provide a path to disarmament and the complete defeat of the terrorist group, instead demanding that Israel, in essence, surrender. It was the typical reheated slop we've come to expect from the Obama-Biden axis of foreign policy knowledge.
The Biden administration has never put any pressure on Arab countries to act against Hamas and end the war. More importantly, they never put pressure on Iran, which fueled the conflict in Gaza and supported Hezbollah in the north as a threat. In short, the entire region was burning, and it was handed over to Trump in far in worse condition than Biden and company found.
It is ridiculous for Blinken to pretend that the former administration laid the groundwork and showed the way forward. But he has not yet reached the peak of shamelessness. This came later in his thread when he demanded the creation of a Palestinian state.

This is an absolute clown. If you've been following this issue for any length of time, you'll understand how infuriating it is. The foreign policy establishment has insisted for decades that it is impossible to win Arab support, defeat Hamas, neutralize Hezbollah and contain Iran without giving the terrorists in Gaza a state. This issue was treated as the key to everything, becoming, in essence, a principle of faith and a bludgeon with which to defeat Israel. Trump came in and proved them all wrong, securing the Abraham Accords and ending the war in the Gaza Strip. marginalization problem, and yet they still arguing that a Palestinian state must be created.
Americans should be so grateful that no one listens to these overly entitled idiots anymore. Arsonists cannot wag their fingers and lecture the firefighters who are putting out the fire. their fires. They, of course, cannot take credit for this. The foreign policy establishment is a joke and should be treated as such.
