Democrats are now trying to talk about “affordability” as if it were a new word.
They are trying to attack President Donald Trump over prices.
But where were they overall in the context of the economy and costs while Joe Biden was in office and prices were skyrocketing? For the most part, they either did not take action or tried to deny the consequences of problematic policies.
Senator Amy Klobuchar (D-Minn.) provided a perfect example of this problem when she disingenuously tried to attack Trump over energy prices.
Under President Trump, electricity prices are rising – by 11%! — leaving millions stranded in utility bills and past-due debt at an all-time high.

I'm not sure what she was thinking, or maybe it was the intern behind the post. But they didn't look at it very closely and didn't check the dates.
But as you can see, she even got a comment from the community about the big problem with her comment: growth started to increase under Joe Biden, and that he owns almost all of this graph. The Community Note also criticized its description, noting that it was about “the average debt of Americans, which has risen sharply since 2022” under Joe Biden, not the cost of electricity.
Klobuchar has earned quite a few people pointing out how this has hooked Biden.
This latest addition to the incredible “Democrats Try to Read the Charts” series is a timeless one.

Senator, if my staffer had tweeted a diagram incriminating @JoeBiden and the Democrats' destruction of American energy, I would throw a bunch at his head too.

The inimitable CNN commentator and Salem radio host Scott Jennings loved it.

Where was the condemnation when prices skyrocketed under Biden? For some reason I don't see this tweet from her. I don't see any condemnation of Biden when food prices were rising and inflation was over 9 percent when Biden was “in charge.”
It was a bit like the Democrats' effort against Trump in July on food prices, when virtually the entire timeline was during the Biden years.

If you can't even read charts and aren't honest about what happened under Biden, how can anyone trust what you say now? And Democrats should apologize for years of bad policies under Biden; they should have held him accountable for his lies about inflation and done something to help the American people. Now they don't even have any positive policies; all they do is attack trump.
Editor's Note: President Trump is leading America into a Gilded Age, and Democrats are desperate to stop him.
