Amazon Discounts the Best Switch 2 MicroSD Card Again, and It’s Now Even Cheaper Than October Prime Day

Don't tell my boss, but I have a sneaking suspicion that Amazon's recent “Prime Big Deal Days” sale may have been completely pointless. It's essentially Amazon's Prime Day at home before the inevitable Black Friday sales torture kicks off for what seems like a month.

But now we're just discounting popular items even more after so many people have already bought them? No way! Insert surprised Pikachu meme here because why. Top Memory Card Switch 2 now almost US$30 less what happened yesterday…during an exclusive sale for Prime members?

Lexar Play Pro 1TB MicroSD Express Card

I mean, this is good news for everyone who's been holding back because Lexar Pro 1TB MicroSD Express Card Now significantly cheaper and down to $157.96 (previously $186.98 on Prime Big Deal Days, MSRP was $219.99).

The 512 GB version also did not escape after-sales price reductions. now only down to $88.47 (previously almost $100 during a recent sale). These are the lowest prices we've seen all year, and time seems almost cruel if you paid yesterday's “discount” price.

Those who bought it during the sale are out of luck, but this is a good reason if you want to argue with Amazon customer service to get a refund. However, if you do this, be polite to them; they are probably very underpaid and exhausted.

Look, this seems like a pretty weird situation. The other staff and I would definitely have advised you to buy the memory card yesterday as we were under the impression that it would probably be the best price before Black Friday. An even better discount coming in just a day is simply baffling, even if it could be seen as a positive for those who want to max out the Switch 2's storage but don't have more than $200 to do so.

Just under $160 is a pretty good price for Express cards (the only memory expansion option for the Switch 2), and while it's still quite expensive compared to other storage solutions like standard microSD or SSDs, it's the best price for max storage on the Switch 2 right now. We'll have to wait a little more time before these prices drop even more, and I even see them selling out at this price as well.

In any case, if you prefer to spend less, a little less on 512 GB or 256 GB memory card, Onn microSD from Walmart also another option. They don't match the Lexar cards in terms of speed, but in practice you won't notice much of a difference when it comes to playing Switch 2 games or loading menus.

The bigger problem is finding the item in stock: Walmart tends to run out of stock quickly and only reliably restocks it during major sales like Prime Week. This makes them more of a budget backup option than a long-term solution, but if you find one that's affordable, it's worth purchasing.

As for the console itself, then Switch 2 finally easy to find. His available in all major stores right now there are no invitation lines or hurdles to jump through. Nevertheless, Nintendo has already raised prices for accessories and hinted that the price of the console could also increase. So if you've been waiting to get one, it's probably smarter to buy sooner rather than later.
