WITH New Orleans Saints struggling to start the NFL season 1-5, trade rumors swirled in the Big Easy around its stars, especially running back Alvin Kamara.
Kamara said it's been done before, but he'll say it again: he wants to stay in New Orleans.
“I think I spoke loudly enough. I don't want to go anywhere. I've said this countless times. I think everyone knows that – you all know that, the fans know that,” he said. via ESPN.

There was a report from NFL Network However, Saints general manager Mickey Loomis reached out to Kamara after receiving interest from other teams about trading for the veteran guard. The report added that Loomis asked Kamara if he wanted to go somewhere.
According to #41, this is news to Kamara and Loomis.

“We talked about [the report] and we looked at each other like a Spiderman meme. 'Did you say something? Did I say something?” Kamara laughs. “…At the end of the day, this is a business.”
Kamara knows how cold it is NFL Maybe, but while he may not have the benefit of something like a no-trade clause, the nine-year veteran does have an ace up his sleeve: retirement.

“If I were a general manager, I would probably go to the player and say, ‘Hey, we’re trading you. Just so you know.” If Mickey comes and says that, I'll go out and have a pina colada,” Camara told reporters.
Kamara, who turns 30 next July, is no stranger to trade rumors. He was focused on securing a new contract from Saints last summer and has never wavered in his desire to stay in his place. The Saints, who took him in the third round of the 2017 tournament. NFL Draftultimately gave him an extension through the 2024 regular season, keeping him in place through the end of the 2026 campaign.
“I want to be a Saint for as long as my career lasts,” Kamara said last season. “That's all I'm looking for, really.”
Kamara isn't the only Saints player who has reportedly been tested. Wide receiver Chris Olave could also be moved at the deadline.

Through six games this season, Kamara has rushed for 314 yards on 83 carries and a touchdown, while also catching 22 passes from Spencer Rattler for 122 yards.
