The game joins a line-up of outstanding indie games from around the world and continues to generate interest thanks to its historical setting and survival elements. Alaska Gold Fever takes players to Alaska in 1896, putting them in the shoes of miners at the height of the gold rush. The journey takes you through dense forests, high mountains and open meadows in search of gold. The main goal is to go from a struggling prospector to one of the richest men of the era.

Survival plays an important role throughout the experience. Players must be prepared for snowstorms, heavy rains, and encounters with dangerous wild animals such as wolves. Human threats are also present, as rival miners and roving bandits can strike without warning.

The main gameplay is focused on exploration and mining of minerals. Players dig tunnels, search for natural caves, and mine for gold using tools including pickaxes, dynamite, and structural supports that help prevent cave-ins. From warm clothing to food and mining, the right equipment is essential. Players will travel the land driving dog sleds while caring for the dogs that pull the sled.
