Alabama head coach Kalen DeBoer talks about using Williams after the receiver failed to catch the ball against the Auburn Tigers. Iron Bowl.

“There’s really nothing to read there at all,” DeBoer said via Bama Central. “I think there were opportunities where the ball could have found him. Plays like that, you know, aren't tailor-made for him, it's not really a big part of our offense. There may be screens and things like that that are intentionally trying to get touches, but as far as the pass concept goes, we weren't getting to him through routes or anything like that.”

“So yes, we have to be determined because he is a playmaker for us. The ball found the other guys and they made plays like you saw with Isaiah Horton. We want to continue to be purposeful. Ryan does a great job preparing for us every week. There’s no difference this week.”
