AI Series ‘Castle Walls’ Sets Mipcom Launch From Turkey’s Ay Yapim

Turkish TV company Ay Yapim launches its first AIThe created series “Castle Walls” is dedicated to the mysterious history of the modern Iranian castle of Alamut. The fortress became popular as a location in the popular Ubisoft video game Assassin's Creed Mirage.

Castle Walls (Surlar in Turkish) consists of three 15-minute episodes and is written by Turkish television veterans Kerem Deren and Cisil Hazal Tenim (El Turco). Short episode coming soon Mipcom The Cannes TV Market is produced by Ay Yapim under its new Singapore subsidiary AI Yapim.

Castlewall, one of the industry's first AI-powered TV series, will premiere later this year on both Turkish free-to-air television and an as-yet-unspecified “global streamer,” according to the statement.

The innovative series, which has been in development for a year, was created using a suite of artificial intelligence technologies, including ChatGPT, “for rapid improvement and creative improvement,” the statement said. Generative AI program MidJourney was used “for visual exploration and inspiration,” the company added, while AI generator Runway and Google image creation and editing tool Nano Banana were used “for character integration.” In addition, Veo, Kling, ComfyUI and Topaz were used “for video creation and cinematic performance.” ElevenLabs' runway and AI voice generator was used for voice-over and dubbing, “merging creativity with performance,” the statement noted.

Along with these leading AI platforms, AI Yapim deployed its own AI storyboarding tool and “trained the proprietary AYDNA 1.0 video distribution model, which was refined based on Ay Yapim's licensed catalogue,” the statement further said.

Ay Yapim is best known for the International Emmy Award-winning films Endless Love, Fatmagül, Ezel and Forbidden Love, among other global hits.
