Adam Sandler Will Always Chris Farley.
More than twenty years after the death of Farley, Sandler Still gets It’s sad when he sings “Chris Farley’s song”, the song that he wrote for his late friend and comedian, who died in December 1997 from an overdose of drugs in 33.
Sandler told the podcast “Happy sad embarrassed” that his musical tribute still makes him emotional. He performed a song in the framework of his special Netflix “Adam Sandler: 100% Fresh” and sang it to “SNL” when he received in May 2019.
“In the first few times we played this song, I was torn, and I could not sing it well, because I became so emotional, and then I felt it and was able to get it there,” Sandler said on a podcast. “This is strange, but when this song begins, I say:“ Oh, f -, well, don’t cry and don’t do it. ” I sang her, maybe already a hundred times, but it shakes me. ”
Sandler added: “I think this is because we show the video with Chris and I see his face.” He also said that “to hear how the crowd is crazy for Farley,” makes him happy.
“Every show that I do, today the greatest applause of the night speak of Farley, and every time I mention his name, the audience is crazy. It feels great, ”he said.
