We went from “Take your finger off my face” to “Get your filter off my face.” December 1 Dance Moms Star Abby Lee Miller posted a selfie with Neil Patrick Harris in which he looked so heavily edited that he commented: “Umm… what did you do to my face..?” Even the official Facetune account chimed in, suggesting, “Abby, let me check out your post next time, baby gorgeous.” [sic]” The picture was the third slide carousel instagram this prompted people to go see Harris' new Broadway show, Art. Miller also posed for photos with Harris' co-stars James Corden and Bobby Cannavale, but their faces appear much less smooth in her post. So why this yassification of Harris? Miller responded directly to the actor and suggested that it was not him, but her history of cancer. “Burkitt's lymphoma, 10 rounds of invasive chemotherapy and a big birthday – so I stick to the filters!” she wrote in a comment. “You sir always look great no matter what!!!”
After her release from prison In 2018, Miller announced that she had been diagnosed with an aggressive form of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. In 2019, she revealed that she is cancer-free. Now it looks like she just wants to be able to add filters to any photo she wants. And until she learns to apply these effects to one person at a time, it is simply a reality that anyone who brings their face close to hers must be prepared for.
