- Youyeetoo NestDisk has four M.2 slots: three with PCIe 3.0 x2 support and one with SATA3 support.
- Interface bandwidth limitations prevent high-performance SSDs from achieving full speed.
- SSD thickness of 7mm is recommended for physical compatibility.
Youyeetoo NestDisk is a compact mini pc built around four internal M.2 2280 slots, all of which are dedicated to SSDs.
Three of these slots exclusively use PCIe 3.0 x2 lanes, while the fourth also accepts SATA3 drives.
These interfaces have limited bandwidth, so higher-end SSDs will not reach the theoretical performance ceiling.
Interface bandwidth sets practical limits on SSD performance
The device is limited in performance by its connections, not the storage itself.
Youyeetoo also recommends using solid state drives 7 mm thick, citing compatibility considerations related to the dimensions of the case.
This recommendation indirectly limits actuator selection and indicates tight internal tolerances.
NestDisk Mini PC uses Intel N150 processor coupled with 12GB DDR5 memory.
This entry-level processor is designed for low-power server workloads rather than compute-intensive tasks.
In terms of software, the system comes with OpenMediaVault installed on the internal eMMC storage, allowing you to immediately use it as NAS device
operating system Prioritizes storage management, network sharing, and plugin-based extensibility.
While users can replace pre-installed software, the default configuration clearly reflects a role focused on storage rather than typical desktop use.
For connection, the device provides network access via two 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet ports based on Intel i226-V controllers.
Wireless connectivity includes Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2, while physical I/O consists of three USB 3.2 Type-A ports and one USB 3.0 Type-C port.
The device also features a second USB 3.0 Type-C port that supports DisplayPort output and Power Delivery.
Additional interfaces include two HDMI outputs and a 3.5mm audio combo jack.
A 3cm active internal fan keeps things cool and the company touts it as silent, but that claim remains questionable given the size of the fan.
The company also offers an optional second USB-powered fan that helps dissipate heat during long periods of use.
Basic model Youyeetoo NestDiskequipped with 12 GB of DDR5 memory and 64 GB of eMMC memory, costs from 178 euros excluding VAT and delivery.
The bundled version with a basic 512GB NVMe SSD costs €195, while the 1TB SSD configuration costs €212, again excluding VAT and shipping.
Transport adds €13, plus an additional service charge of €8, bringing the base model's total before tax to €201.30. Adding at least 20% VAT increases the total to approximately €241.
The company does not specify import processing fees, which are likely to range from €15 to €30 depending on the carrier.
The company ships through services such as DHL, FedEx, UPS, EMS and Hong Kong Post, and payments are processed through PayPal.
