Disneyland 70th anniversary celebration will continue until August next year, and new guests will appear at the resort in March. That's when Bluey and her sister Bingo from the popular Australian animated series will touch down in Anaheim.
'Bluey' stars were told to start appearing at Disney parks for the first time back in 2024and will take over operations of the Fantasyland Theater at Disneyland starting March 22. Dubbed “Bluey's Best Day Ever!”, the event is expected to combine games with musical show moments.
Bluey isn't the only noteworthy change or addition coming to Disneyland in 2026. The Millennium Falcon: Smuggler's Run ride in Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge will get a new mission, and Soar Around the World will get a new movie previously announced Taking off across America. And many fan favorites—Lunar New Year celebrations and Disney's California Food and Wine Festival—are also planning to return.
Below you'll find information on what big events to expect and at least one attraction you'll want to say goodbye to.
Say hi to Bluey

The Disney+ series will come to life at Disneyland with music, games and ready-to-play photo installations. The Fantasyland Theater, according to Disney, will be transformed into the grounds of Bluey's school, where the titular blue dog will have an amazing day, hence the name of the event: “Bluey's best day ever!”
Bluey will appear with his sister Bingo throughout the day on stage, where the two characters will be joined by cast members, musicians and comedians who will invite audiences to get involved and bring to life moments inspired by the show. Expect familiar Bluey games like “Keepy Uppy,” as well as life-size versions of the Gnome Village and Fairy Garden. Familiar characters such as Grannies, Chattermax and the Unicorn should appear at Bluey's school. The nearby Troubadour Tavern will feature Bluey-inspired food.
Disneyland patrons should expect something similar to other Fantastyland Theater play events, such as the Pixar Pals Playtime Party. “Bluey's best day ever!” currently has no end date.
Meet a new mission in Smugglers Run.
Starting May 22, 2026, Millennium Falcon: Smuggler's Run will feature a new scene inspired by The Mandalorian and Grogu.

The Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge attraction is timed to coincide with the release of The Mandalorian and Grogu. Millennium Falcon: Smuggler's Run will receive a new mission on May 22. Disney has previously revealed that this latest storyline will provide additional layers of interactivity to a ride that is already something of a full-size arcade game.
The updated attraction will feature three new locations from the Star Wars films – planets such as the city of Coruscant or the gas kingdom of Bespin, as well as the wreckage of the second Death Star near Endor. Each flight crew will determine the destination. Additionally, those sitting in the ride's “engineer” positions will be able to interact with Grogu, who is colloquially known as “Baby Yoda.”
Disneyland hints at additional Star Wars promotions in 2026, noting that Hyperspace Mountain the Space Mountain overlay will return on April 28th.
Say goodbye to monsters Mike and Sulley

Disneyland Resort remains in a state of change and constant reinvention. This means that some beloved landmarks are subject to destruction from time to time. Such is the case with California Adventure's. Monsters Inc. Mike and Sally to the rescue!which will close in early 2026 to make room for Ride and Avatar Experience. The latter will occupy the Hollywood Backlot site at California Adventure.
Disney has not yet set a closing date, limiting it to the first half of the new year. Mike and Sally to the rescue! It's not an original California Adventure attraction, but it's charming as the slow, old-fashioned family ride takes guests through the streets and restaurants of the fictional city of Monstropolis, where silly and cartoonish details abound. The ride was added to the park in 2006, replacing the ill-fated and failed Superstar Limousine, a short-lived concept involving paparazzi and celebrities that lasted about a year.
No timeline has been given for the new Avatar attraction and area, but construction is likely several years away as its arrival depends on Disneyland reimagining its transportation hub on the east side of the resort. This multi-year construction project is stated to begin in 2026.
Soarin' turns its attention to America

Soarin' Around the World at Disney California Adventure will be transformed into Take off across Americaa move to coincide with the 250th anniversary of the United States. The update will begin on July 2.
Disney revealed the news in October in a social media post with actor Patrick Warburtonplaying the head flight attendant of Soarin'. In the clip, Warburton, as fan-favorite character Patrick, promises “amber waves of grain” and “purple mountain majesty” while showing off red, white and blue mouse ears fit for the Fourth of July. Post on Disney Parks Blog hints that the new film will also depict various American cityscapes.
After Hours Party at Disneyland
Enjoy shorter rides and themed events at one of Disneyland's five After Dark Celebrations. New next year will be 70 years of favorites party, which will be timed to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the park. The nostalgic evening will include nods to past shows, music events and landmarks and will take place on March 3 and 5. Tickets go on sale to the general public on December 11th.
Beloved Night returns for nine nights throughout January and February. Expect character couples and opportunities to dance. Tickets for the general public will also go on sale on December 11th.
Look for it later this year Disney Channel Night for three evenings in April, Star Wars Night for four evenings in April and May, and Pride Night June 16 and 18. Ticket sales for the final three have not yet been announced, but stay tuned for updates. Disneyland website for more information.

Disney's holiday calendar has expanded in recent years, and although the resort Lunar New Year festival at California Adventure doesn't take over the park in the same way as Christmas or Halloween, but has become a reliable holiday source for inventive food and character interactions aimed at exploring Chinese, Vietnamese and Korean traditions. In the Year of the Horse, the ancient character Horace Horsecollar will be present. The event will take place from January 23 to February 22.
Begins shortly after the end of the Lunar New Year and continues until spring. Disney California Food and Wine Festival in California. Expect several pop-up food markets offering small bites, cocktails and a focus on California beer and wine. The event includes a series of tasting seminars and cocktail-making sessions, and typically includes upscale dinners at the resort's restaurants and bars. Goofy, dressed as a chef, usually takes center stage, but our favorite part of the Food & Wine festival is the lack of snacks and sugary drinks. For a long time now the annual income Taking off over Californiathe original version of the flight simulator attraction. Disney, however, declined to comment on whether the original version of the attraction will return this year. The food and wine festival runs from March 6 to April 27.
Smaller celebrations are held throughout the year. Next year's Bluey event will make Celebrate the Gospel – weekend of February 20 and 27 – moving to downtown Disney. Look out for concerts by Hezekiah Walker (February 21) and Yolanda Adams (February 28). Local hockey fans will want to bookmark February 22nd. Anaheim Ducks Day and families with small children may be interested in Disney Jr. Let's play! Party. The latest will take place on August 13th at California Adventure before moving to Downtown Disney.

Summer increasingly means Halloween. Bye parks Halloween time won't officially launch until August 21st, California Adventure after-hours ticketed event Oogie Boogie Bash The first meeting will be held on August 18. The evening, which usually includes unique encounters with Disney villains, as well as a parade and a lighted, slightly creepy walk along the Redwood Creek Challenge Trail, usually sells out.
Oogie Boogie will run 33 nights from mid-August to October 31st. The sale has not yet been announced. As Halloween Time approaches, California Adventure's event will take place on August 21st. Family Squarea Día de Los Muertos celebration that draws heavily on imagery from the Disney/Pixar film Coco. It will last until November 2.
Holidays at the Disneyland Resort will soon follow, starting November 18th and running until early January. While Disney has yet to reveal details about next year's offerings, expect major developments such as renovations to the It's a Small World and Haunted Mansion attractions, as well as the return of the California Adventure Festival of the Holidays. This is one of ours favorite time visit.
Summer offer for children
Disneyland, of course, is not cheap. If you're interested in visiting the resort but want to save a little money on tickets, Disneyland has announced new ticket offer to California it goes on sale December 3rd and goes into effect January 1st. The deal is for a three-day park ride pass that can be used on non-consecutive visits and starts at $249 per person, which works out to $83 per day.
However, next year there will be a new ticket offer for children aged 3 to 9 years. Available for purchase on January 21, the Children's Summer Pass offer is valid for dates May 22 through September 7 and can be purchased for $50 per child for a one-day park pass. For an additional fee, you can add up to three days, as well as the skip line feature. Details and fine print can be found on the website Disneyland website.
New and updated gastronomic experiences

Disney's upscale Grand California restaurant will open in early 2026 after being closed for more than a year. Napa Rose. An official date has not yet been set, but Napa Rose was the site of the park's official multi-course dinner.
Downtown Disney will also continue renovations that have been in the works for years. While there is still room for more construction, Disneyland still plans to open its doors in 2026. Earl of Sandwich outpost and Gordon Ramsay at The Carnabythe latter is positioned as an upscale gastropub with 60s-style entertainment, which no doubt makes it a future hangout for Disney for adults crowd.
