
The US Supreme Court rejected Gislein Maxwell's appeal against her conviction for sex trade.
Without providing an explanation, the court refused to hear the appeal of the former British secular society, which means that her 20-year sentence would remain on the spot, with the exception of the pardon of the president.
Her lawyer, David Oscar Marcus, told The BBC that her team was “deeply disappointed”, but will continue to explore the legal capabilities “to ensure justice to be made”.
Maxwell was convicted of her role in attracting minor girls for her ex -boyfriend Jeffrey Epstein. Epstein died in prison in 2019.
The Ministry of Justice did not immediately comment on the refusal of Maxwell's appeal on Monday.
She recently gave an interview to federal agents in the United States that she knew as part of the investigation of the sexual traffic scheme and whether others could be involved.
In 2021, she was found guilty of promoting Epstein's abuse. The prosecutors said that she hired and prepared girls, some at the age of 14, from 1994 to 2004, before their violence, financier Epstein, New York financier.
Maxwell’s lawyers appealed against the verdict, claiming that she had to judge or condemn her role in the scheme.
The assumptions were widespread that Trump could ask Maxwell, but the White House said earlier: “No indulgence is given and is not discussed.”
The files associated with the Epstein case, including the testimony of the large jury, have become a political output of the flash against the background of the requirements that they will be released.
Maxwell was transferred to a prison institution with minimal security in Texas after an interview with officials of the Ministry of Justice in July. In these interviews, she denied that seeing some kind of inappropriate behavior of Trump during his interaction with Epstein.
The object, FPC Bryant, is located about 100 miles (160 km) from the capital of Texas in Austin.
