The US federal judge temporarily blocked the Trump administration from the deployment of troops of the National Guard from Texas and California to Portland, Oregon.
The decision later appeared on Sunday after the same court rejected Trump's attempt to deploy his own members of the Navigon National Guard to Portland.
Portland is the last city led by the democrats aimed at the president’s attempt to consider what, according to him, is an uncontrolled crime, against the background of protests regarding the immigration support of his administration.
Trump also authorized the deployment of troops of the National Guard from other states in Chicago in Illinois to decide that, according to him, he is an uncontrolled crime.
The resolution on Sunday of the District Judge of the United States Karin Immort appeared shortly after the Pentagon confirmed that 200 members of the California National Guard were reassigned to Portland to “support the US immigration and customs authorities and other federal employees performing official duties.”
California and Oregon were looking for a temporary prohibiting order against deployment.
Judge Immort, who was appointed Trump, said that there is no evidence that recent protests in the city made the presence of military personnel of the Federal National Guard.
During the Sunday Extraordinary hearing, she insisted on lawyers from the federal government about how the deployment of troops from other states was not just a way to get around her earlier decision to refuse to deploy the National Guard of Oregon.
In this decision, she said that the use of the armed forces to suppress riots without the consent of Oregon risks the sovereignty of this state and others and inflamed tension in the city of Portland.
The Sunday decision will remain valid until at least October 19. The White House has not yet answered.
In previous comments, the Trump administration said that the president exercises his “legal power to protect federal assets and personnel in Portland after violents and attacks on law enforcement agencies”.
Meanwhile, the governor of Illinois J. B. Pritzker said late in the evening on Sunday evening that Trump “orders 400 members of the Texas National Guard to deploy in Illinois, Oregon and other places in the United States.”
In his statement, the governor called the deployment of Trump's invasion and said that there is no reason to send troops to any state without “knowledge, consent or cooperation” of local officials.
He told CNN that permission to troops would incite protests and accuse the administration of creating a “military zone” to rationalize the answer.
Pritzker also called on Governor of Texas Greg Ebbotta, “immediately withdraw any support for this decision and refuse coordination.”
In response, Ebbott said that he “completely authorized” Trump’s decision to call the Texas National Guard “to ensure the safety of federal officials”.
“You can either fully ensure the protection of federal employees, or leave the road and allow the Texas protection to do this,” he said in a statement about X.
As in Portland, Chicago saw protests about an increase in immigration support. On Saturday, the protests became violent, and the immigration authorities said that they had opened fire of an armed woman after she and others allegedly rammed their cars on vehicles of law enforcement agencies.
The condition of the woman is unclear, but the officials said that she went to the hospital.
The protests continued in Portland and other cities regarding the increased immigration support of the Trump administration.
Portland, in particular, for a long time fired Trump's anger due to the alleged concentration of people who describe his supporters as an antifa, a reduction for an “anti-fascist”. The President recently signed an order to appoint a group, which is a poorly organized movement of the extreme left activists as an internal terrorist organization.
Portland deployment occurred a day after Trump allowed deployment 300 troops of the National Guard in Chicago under a similar pretext.
The National Guard is the main combat reserve of the army and the Air Force. State military forces can be caused by either the Governor of the state or the US President. It is often deployed to provide disaster assistance after floods and hurricanes, but can also support military operations abroad.
During the summer, Trump instructed the troops of the National Guard to be deployed in Washington, the District of Colombia, and in Los -Angeles, saying that they need to suppress a crime or protest. These were significant solutions, since deployment is usually left to the state governor.
Trump sought to use the troops of the National Guard in a number of US cities to hack crime and immigration support, including in Washington, the District of Colombia, and in Los Andegeles, California.
In September, the federal judge in California ruled that the deployment of Trump of the National Guard in Los -Angeles was illegal, as it violated the law that restricts the power of the federal government to use military force for internal issues.
The administration appeals this decision.
