BC Lions became the fourth CFL team, which won a place in the play -off Gray -Cup of 2025.
The lions booked their ticket with a 38-24 victory over Kalgary Stampeders on Saturday evening in Vancouver. Nathan Rurk threw four yards for 414 yards, and two interceptions in victory, since his team experienced a late surge from Stampeders thanks to a pair of interceptions of Robert Carter, Jr.
The victory temporarily moves in second place in the Western division, although the game in the play -off house is not guaranteed. Lions can still be technically finished as high as the first place in the division, or to be forced to go to the eastern division, depending on how the last three weeks of season are revealed.
This is the fourth season in a row, which lions are entitled to postseson, although this is their first appearance under the leadership of the new head coach of Baka Pierce. The franchise has a second largest drought of an active gray cup in cells, for the last time he won the championship in 2011.
BC joins Saskachevan, Hamilton and Montreal as teams that officially won the place of play -off. Kalgary, Winnipeg and Edmonton remain in the dispute for the two remaining places, and Ottawa and Toronto are officially eliminated.
Lions will be next week and will return to the field on Friday, October 17, when they accept Edmonton. They finish the regular season on Saturday, October 25, in Saskachevan.
