LG is bringing back its ultra-thin smart TV, this time in the form of the Evo W6 Wireless Wallpaper TV. Big difference compared to the old W9 Wallpaper OLED TV? Wallpaper 2026 Design is now truly wireless.
The LG Evo W6 also features Hyper Radiant Color technology, which is said to improve blacks (really? LG OLEDs are already famous for their blacks), color and brightness up to 3.9 times brighter than regular OLEDs. We assume “regular” includes LG's own TVs; maybe not.
LG is also touting an improved screen coating that it claims maintains hard-won image improvements in a wider range of ambient lighting conditions.
The LG OLED Evo W6 Wallpaper TV boasts an incredibly thin profile.
LG Electronics
According to the company, LG's third-generation Alpha 11 AI processor powers the Evo W6 and all its video and audio AI features, promising a five-fold improvement in neural processing. It is said to be capable of running two separate algorithms simultaneously, each adjusting and optimizing the results of the other. In theory this should give better results with fewer artifacts.
The LG Evo W6 Wallpaper TV has access to the same image library as LG TV Gallerywith a gallery mode that promises to optimize color and brightness to best reproduce the visual texture of physical art. There's also LG's WebOS smart TV software with Voice ID technology, which can recognize the user's voice and display their personalized home screen on demand.
If you're into gaming on your TV, it offers 4K UHD resolution and a 165Hz refresh rate. It also supports Nvidia G-Sync and AMD Free Premium technologies to prevent image tearing.
Whatever the end result of the hype, the Evo W6 promises to fit into its surroundings much better than the average OLED – no doubt at a hefty price tag. We're guessing it's tens of thousands of dollars.
