31st annual Critics' Choice AwardsThe first major competitive awards ceremony in 2026 will take place on Sunday, January 4th. Chelsea Handler returned to perform the ceremony at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica. The three-hour show will air live on E! and US Network with coverage beginning at 7:00 pm ET/4:00 pm PT.
Who's in charge Critics' Choice Nominations?
This year's nominees are headed by SinnersWarner Bros genre thriller from Ryan Coogler and his double star Michael B. Jordan. The film is up for 17 leading nominations, including Best Picture, Best Actor, Best Director and Best Screenplay. Just behind him is another Warners photo, Paul Thomas Anderson. One battle after anotherfollows with 14 nominations.

In television, Netflix's Emmy Award winner Adolescence (six nominations) and Nobody wants this (five nominations) are in the lead.
This year's show will also feature four new categories: Best Variety Series, Best Stunt Design, Best Casting and Ensemble and Best Sound. Let us remind you that casting becomes an official Oscar nomination from this year’s ceremony, and “Stuntmen” will appear in 2027.

Live from E!: Critics' Choice Awards The red carpet special will air live starting at 5:00 pm ET/2:00 pm PT on E! and USA Network. Hosted by Justin Sylvester and Keltie Knight, along with Will Marfuggi and Erin Lim.
