Eiichiro Oda's One Piece is a global phenomenon. The popular anime was streamed on Netflix and thanks to Oda's opinion, this One Piece became an instant hit among fans around the world. Netflix found enough prospects in the new project to renew it for a second and third season.

Chilling Adventures of Sabrina

Chilling Adventures of Sabrina is a young adult supernatural series created by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, Chief Creative Officer of Archie Comics. He's the same person who brought Riverdale to The CW, which makes sense given the similar tone of both programs. This Sabrina, unlike the 90s sitcom Sabrina the Teenage Witch, delves deep into the occult. It's a surprisingly mature take on the character, and it planted the seeds for what the streamer could do with original programming in the genre. Basically, Sabrina walked so Wednesday could run.
