Samsung has updated its Freestyle portable projector for 2026. Ahead of CES, the company announced a new Freestyle+ model that boasts twice the brightness of its predecessor (430 ISO lumens) and AI-powered screen optimization features. Like previous Freestyles, the Freestyle+ offers 180-degree rotation and 360-degree audio. It also supports Q-Symphony, so it will work with some Samsung soundbars. Samsung hasn't revealed more information about specs or pricing, but it will be showcasing the Freestyle+ at CES 2026, so we'll likely learn more details soon.
While previous versions of Samsung's compact projector offered automatic screen adjustment features such as autofocus and auto-leveling, the Freestyle+ uses artificial intelligence to take optimization further. Featuring AI OptiScreen, as the company calls it, the projector offers automatic 3D keystone to correct distortion on uneven or non-flat surfaces, real-time focusing as you move the projector, automatic screen adjustment to compatible accessories, and wall calibration to reduce visual distractions from the projection surface. It will also support Samsung's Vision AI Companion.
The company has not yet announced a specific release date for the new projector, but says it is targeting the first half of the year. It will be released in stages around the world.
