CBS'popular legal drama Matlock appeared unexpectedly during the network's New Year's presentation.
Approximately 42.5 minutes after the CBS holiday special. New Year's Eve Live: Nashville's Big CelebrationLaney Wilson's performance was abruptly interrupted mid-song. The screen went dark for a few seconds, followed by a series of commercials. Survivor and other CBS programs before release Matlock appeared in the middle of the stage. The special aired live on CBS and Paramount+ from 8:00 pm to 10:00 pm ET/PT and 10:30 am to 1:30 pm ET/PT. Because the concert ended so late on the East Coast, it could not be edited in real time for the West Coast, where the concert also included a 12-minute break.
