2026 promises to be incredibly exciting year for fun. Between highly anticipated TV returns, massive franchise returns, and brand new films, there really is something worth watching for everyone.
I'm a proud fan myself and have been bookmarking these upcoming releases all year. Here are my top picks for movies and TV shows you'll want to add to your 2026 watch list.

His and Hers — January 8, 2026 Netflix starts the new year with a detective thriller starring Jon Bernthal and Tessa Thompsonbased on the bestselling book by Alice Feeney. Viewers can expect a messy murder in Georgia that will bring the couple together in a twisted investigation.

Knight of the Seven Kingdoms — January 18, 2026 New Game of Thrones The era has arrived! Set 100 years before the original series, this prequel follows Sir Duncan the Tall (Peter Claffey) and his chaotic squire Egg (Dexter Saul Ansel) as they travel across Westeros.

Bridgerton Season 4, parts 1 and 2 — January 29 and February 26, 2026 Oh, we So back. Season four will focus on the third book in the series by Julia Quinn and will finally put Benedict in the spotlight. Bridgerton who swore he wasn't ready to settle down. This continued until the lady in the mask and silver completely foiled his plan.

Euphoria season 3 — April 2026. It's finally back! This chapter flashes forward 5 years into the future, where Ryu is living on the southern border of Mexico, in debt to drug dealer Laurie. Fans can expect a darker, grittier world and storylines that will take the series into uncharted territory.

People we meet on holiday — January 9, 2026 Emily Henry Stans, this is your moment! Beloved friends – beloved romantic book It's now a Netflix movie! Telling the story of two best friends who live miles apart but reunite every year for a one-week vacation, this movie will give you All sensations.

Moment – January 30, 2026 Charli XCX's new film chronicles her meteoric rise to pop stardom following the film's release Brother — but with an incredibly fun and meta twist. Instead of a standard travel documentary, Moment pokes fun at the genre itself, bringing a self-aware, chaotic and downright refreshing take on pop stardom that's unmistakably Charlie-esque.

Wuthering Heights — February 14, 2026 Emerald Fennell (Saltburn) brings his signature stylish look to this new adaptation of the classic novel. Starring Jacob Elordi and Margot Robbie in the title role – an absolutely beautiful couple, I might add. Viewers can expect dreamy gothic visuals and intense romance like no other.

Cat in the Hat — February 27, 2026. Just when you thought this live-action movie couldn't get any better (I still have nightmares about Mike Myers in a cat suit – he's back! Story Cat in the Hat gets an animated glow studded with stars. Starring Bill Hader, Quinta Brunson, America Ferrera and Bowen Young, this take on the iconic Dr. Seuss tale promises to be rowdy, colorful and hilariously fun.

Hail Mary Project — March 20, 2026 Contributed by Andy Weir (Martian) bestselling book, this sci-fi film follows a lonely science teacher trying to save humanity after he awakens on a spaceship far from Earth.

Drama – April 3, 2026 Zendaya and Robert Pattinson starring in A24 drama? Sign me up. The film follows a couple whose romance takes a dramatic turn just before their wedding. And with Ari Aster as producer, it's sure to be an exciting film.

Dune 3: Messiah — December 18, 2026. Details are being kept under wraps for now, but the third film will pick up the events of Herbert's second book, set 12 years after the events of Dune.

Michael – April 24, 2026 Following the resurgence of biopic films, there will finally be one dedicated to the story of Michael Jackson. Starring Jaafar Jackson (Michael Jackson's nephew), the film will chronicle the star's rise from the Jackson 5 to global pop icon.

The Devil Wears Prada 2 — May 1, 2026. Yes, it's true. The original cast – Anne Hathaway, Meryl Streep, Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci – are officially back. The sequel will focus on modern media and the digital shift in fashion.

I love boosters – May 22, 2026 Booth's Riley. (Sorry to bother you) is back with a new sci-fi comedy starring Keke Palmer, who leads the Velvet Gang of shoplifters. After a company sets its sights on a powerful CEO, things go horribly wrong. Viewers can expect social and political commentary, as well as a very quirky charm.

Toy Story 5 – June 19, 2026 Buzz and Woody are back again. This chapter explores how toys try to stay relevant as Bonnie becomes interested in technology.
16.
Odyssey — July 17, 2026. Christopher Nolan will star in Homer's epic with Matt Damon as Odysseus and a star-studded cast of Tom Holland, Zendaya and Robert Pattinson. This is also first film shot entirely on IMAX camerasso prepare to be visually amazed.
